【摘要】:Section1,ObjectandScope6Thepurposeofatestonareciprocatingsteamenginesistoverifytheguaranteesgivenbythemanufactureroftheengineortodeterminetheperformanceofagivenenginewithregardtooneormoreofthefollowingobjects:(a)Thethermaleconomycharacteristicsoftheengine(theheatrateand/orthesteamrate).(b)Capacity(indicated,brakeand/orkilowattoutput).7Testsmadetodetermineotherdataortoverifyparticularguaranteesallofwhichareoutsidethescopeofthiscodeshallbemadeonlyafterwrittenagreementofbothpartiestothetestregardingmethodsanddetailsoftestsandcomputations.8Thiscodeprovidesforthecarryingoutofacceptanceorperformancetestsandforthecomputationandtabulationoftheresultsonreciprocatingsteamengineswithnoextractionandnoreheating.Allsteamentersatonepressureandleavesatanothersinglepressure.9Thiscodeappliesalsototestsfordeterminingtheperformanceoftheenginealoneincludingjackets,ifany,orinthecaseofadirectconnectedgenerator,oftheenginegeneratorunitwhenguaranteedonthekilowatthourbasis,apartfromtheindependentlydrivenauxiliarieswhicharenecessaryfortheengine'soperation.
